Located in the beautiful Marin Headlands in Marin County, CA, the Headlands Center for the Arts offers artist programs that nurture creativity across all disciplines, from the visual arts to performance, music, writing, and film and video, both independently and through collaboration. The Arts Research Center at UC Berkeley is a multidisciplinary arts think tank which is a community hub and research/ gathering space that offers an Indigenous Performing Arts Residency and space for public programming.

Art Heals Arizona (formerly Free Arts) creates moments of connection and creativity for children who have experienced trauma. Through their Art + Mentors = Resilience model, they help youth build resilience through connecting them with caring adult mentors and intentional arts activities. You don’t need to be an artist to be a volunteer.
Textile Center in the Twin Cities of Minnesota is a national center for fiber arts. Volunteers can help out at The Stashery (which provides accessible, donated materials for artists), support harvesting and education at their natural dye garden, and help run other creative workshops.
Esalen is a holistic and educational retreat space in Big Sur, California dedicated to providing workshops and experiences in the healing and somatic arts. Volunteer opportunities to help support the community and its grounds (cabins, kitchen, farm & garden) are available daily.
Crews for a Cause is a nonprofit production group that connects video and media professionals with causes they truly care about (and that are in need of impactful storytelling). Check out the crew!
