A Chat with My Favorite Indie Artist
Literary-moon (day 2): Interview with singer-songwriter Jeremiah de Rozario
Welcome to day 2 of “literary-moon”: A series where I interview the incredible creatives and artists who contributed to the magic of my recent wedding festivities (both in the SF Bay Area and in Kerala, India).
If you missed the first story featuring Maria-Joy, the curator of our wedding guest gift hampers, I invite you to read that story here.
Now, please enjoy today’s story featuring my favorite indie artist of all time (who we had the pleasure of having play for us — LIVE, with his talented 3-piece band (“Nice Kids”)— at our wedding reception in Kerala): Jeremiah de Rozario.
Meet Jeremiah de Rozario
(Read our conversation to Jeremiah’s song Run to the Ocean, which is about his longing to return to Fort Cochin — the seaside port where he grew up — after a period of loneliness living away from home.)
V: When did you start making art/ music, and how has the journey been? Has it always been the dream?
Jeremiah: It's actually funny how it all began.
